Gases of Lower Thermal Conductivity
Sealed Low E double glazed units may also contain gases with lower thermal conductivity than air such as argon, providing further improvements in U value.
There are several gases that can be used in the manufacture of Insulated Glass Units with different results and types for varying applications. The following are the most common:
