The IG Blind is a specially developed micro-venetian blind completely encapsulated within a sealed double glazed window unit. .

It is operated, without breaking the insulating seal, by magnetism in the manual version and integral low volt motor in the electric version. The electric model can be powered by batteries or transformer. Control options range from simple push button switches through to infrared remote control. This new control system allows groups of blinds to be operated locally, centrally or by a computer based Building Management System. Where appropriate the twin channel infrared model provides control of the blinds from a desk, bed, etc, without rising to reach a switch..

It is particularly cost effective in busy offices, schools, libraries, banks, police stations, hotels, leisure centres, hospitals and other high traffic public buildings.

Blinds make a major contribution to reducing costs as, even in the busiest public areas, they never need cleaning or maintenance. In fact, because the blinds are completely protected from damage and soiling by the glazing, even after many years use in very high traffic locations they will still look as pristine as the day they were installed. In addition, the design of the system results in an ultra modern, uncluttered , high-tech appearance to the installation.

These unique benefits are additional to the usual features associated with venetian blinds such as effective sunshading, reduction of glare and privacy at a touch of the control..

Blinds can be used in the majority of applications for external windows and internal glazed screens.
