Tuf-flex heat-treated glass is stronger than ordinary annealed glass – more resistant to windloading, thermal stresses, and impact. Transformed by reheating and quenching, the outer surfaces of Tuf-flex heat-treated glass are fixed in a state of compression, with the center core in compensating tension. The finished product, either Tuf-flex HS heat-strengthened glass, or Tuf-flex FT fully tempered safety glass, retains its original thickness, rigidity, composition, color, and clarity while offering enhanced performance.
